Well, we’ve got some great news for everyone out there who owns a computer with an Intel GMA series video card. These cards are commonly “on-board”, meaning that they are integrated with the motherboard and provide a nice low-cost option for users who don’t require a lot of 3D horsepower.

Well, Steam Brigade is a game that doesn’t require a lot of 3D horsepower either, so we were pretty sad to hear that it didn’t run on some systems with this video card.

A little detective work turned up the fact that the Intel GMA series cards have a bug in their implementation of OpenGL (a common sort of language for 3D applications). A work-around was provided in an updated version of AllegroGL (a library we use in Steam Brigade), and thanks to some beta-testing from the community, we now know that it works.

So, thanks to everyone who reported the problem or helped us test the fix. As usual, anyone can download the new version from the side-bar and install it overtop of the old one.
